"The mission of the Walpole Fire Department is to protect life and property from the threat of fires, medical emergencies, natural and manmade disasters. In order to fulfill this mission we provide planning, prevention, education, incident control and mitigation."
The Walpole Fire Department has its primary responsibility to the citizens of Walpole. Walpole is 20 square miles in area, with a population of approximately 23,000. Protecting $1.7 billion dollars worth of property.
The Fire Department operates 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week with its 34 Full time Firefighters, Paramedics, and Chief Officers with Full time Advanced Life Support EMS and fire prevention/suppression staff from our 1 station.
With 4 Engines, 1 Ladder Truck, 2 Ambulances, 2 Small Brush Trucks, 1 Large Brush Truck, 1 Special Hazards Unit,and with Support and utility vehicles the department handles the wide veriety of needs for the town. |
