The Walpole Fire Department serves the citizens of Walpole, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week with its 34 Full time Firefighters, Paramedics, and Chief Officers with Full time Advanced Life Support EMS and fire prevention/suppression staff from our 2 stations.
Walpole Fire Activity for 2008.
2008 became the busiest year so far for the Town of Walpole. For the past year the Walpole Fire Department responded to over 3,048 emergency calls. In this same year personnel managed to do an additional 2,203 inspections and fire drills.

The U.S. Census Bureau has begun the census for 2010 as of April 1st, and will be in town until July 1st. Census Bureau workers can be identified by the U.S. Census Bureau bag, and Photo ID. Additional information is available on the U.S. Census Bureau web page at: http://www.census.gov/

Open Burning Season for 2009 is over. There is no more open burning allowed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Brush, leaves and grass trimmings may be brought to the Robbins Road compost facility; a permit is required please click here for more information.
